GPN23 - DECT/SIP
We operate our own private phone network at the GPN, the µPOC.
You can register a number of your own on our network's homepage.
Registering a DECT phone
- Ensure you've registered your 4-digit number on the µPOC website.
- Ensure your phone is compatible with our network by checking the DECT compatibility list.
- Link your DECT Phone to our base station - use 0000 for the PIN.
- Generate a self-service PIN at the µPOC website under "My Numbers" using the green button with key.
- Call the self service PIN with the DECT Phone.
- Go call some peeps! :p
Registering a SIP client
- Ensure you've registered your 4-digit number on the µPOC website.
- Install a compatible SIP Client. We recommend:
For Android: Linphone For iOS: Zoiper
- Configure your SIP Client as follows:
Domain: sip.micropoc.de Username: <Your number> Password: <Your SIP password> Connection Type: UDP IPv6: Off Deactivate all energy saving options for the app (iOS: deactivate push options)

You can be reached from the public phone network through 0721/266 767-<your-number> during the event.
For dialing out to a number on the public phone network, dial a 0, then the number with international dialing country code. For example, to call the number +45 32174225, you'd need to call 0 0045 32174225.
Our SIP-Server is also accessible both internally and externally during the event.
Please note that IPv6 needs to be explicitly disabled within your SIP client settings if you want to receive calls from DECT phones. Disabling it system-wide will not work.
Behind the scenes
- Our Yate-SIP-Server "sip.micropoc.de" is hosted in the Cloud, and acts as our internal and external PBX
- We host a SIP-DECT bridge at the event location
- A few additional DECT network availability zones have been setup at strategic places outside of the event location
- We have some analog connections for the Field phones
