An introduction the OLPC XO-1 hardware and supporting software from laptop.org. There will be systems to perform various demonstrations and answer questions. I'll explain a simple process for installing Ubuntu, and explain my experience with these machines for the past two months.
This talk will be in English and will serve as an introduction to the OLPC XO-1 hardware and the OS platform called Suger. I will explain and demonstrate the installation of Ubuntu linux to create a dual boot system. A talk by Rob Sheehy at the GPN7.
