Ein Vortrag von Sebastian Lekies auf der GPN14.
JavaScript nowadays is one of the most widespread and sucessful programming languages in the World. One reason for this phenonmenon is that JavaScript is apparently very easy to learn. Many people who develop JavaScript, however, never learned the language properly, but base their design desicions on assumptions derrived from other programming-languages. Hence, very often JavaScript code contains very typical errors that lead to unexpected results, in which developers blame JavaScript for behaving "strange". In this Talk/Workshop we will investigate the subtleties of JavaScript programming and the many pitfalls inexperienced developers run into. We will see that most of the features that lead to such pitfalls are in fact very powerful tools.
